Hungary and the Rubik's Cube

Hungary was one of those countries that despite having some beautiful traditional art forms like embroidery and pottery, didn't really have many well-known fine artists due to communist oppression for so many years. Erno Rubik the inventor of the Rubik's cube often compared the puzzle to a piece of art so I decided to have the students create their own colorful Rubik's Cube face using cut out squares in a grid form. We then decorated the squares with markers.
